Sermora AI (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates sermoraai.com and provides live multilingual caption services for worship services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our platform.

Information you provide

• Account information: email address and password when you create a host account.
• Church information: church name, logo, and service details entered by admins and hosts.
• Payment information: billing details are processed directly by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.

Information collected automatically

• Service usage: caption segments, language preferences, and session metadata generated during live services.
• Attendee fingerprints: a random session identifier stored in your browser to enforce plan attendee limits. This identifier is not linked to your identity and is cleared when you close your browser tab.
• Log data: IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and debugging purposes.

• To provide, operate, and improve the Sermora AI service.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To enforce plan limits (attendee caps, language caps, archive retention).
• To generate AI-powered sermon summaries when requested by a host.
• To send transactional emails such as invite links and billing receipts.
• To respond to support requests.

Audio is processed in real time by your browser's built-in speech recognition (Web Speech API) and is not transmitted to or stored on Sermora AI servers. Caption text (transcribed words) is stored in our database to power the live feed, late-joiner catch-up, archive, and AI summary features.

You may delete archived services at any time from your dashboard. Deleted services and their captions are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• OpenAI / Vercel AI Gateway — for AI sermon summary generation and caption translation. Only caption text is sent, never audio.
• Vercel — hosting and analytics.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

Each sub-processor is bound by its own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Caption archives are subject to your plan's retention window (30 days for Free, 90 days for Growth, unlimited for Pro). You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at privacy@sermoraai.com.

We use browser local storage to remember your language preference and font size between sessions. We use a session cookie to maintain your authenticated state and to remember your active church when you belong to multiple churches. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level database security. However, no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict processing, or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@sermoraai.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email.
